BRIDGES GOLDENDOODLES GUARDIAN PROGRAM

GUARDIAN HOME PROGRAM
Here at Bridges GoldenDoodles we strive to provide only the best for our breeding dogs who serve as loving members of our family. To ensure we are able to give these dogs the best possible home life while being able to expand and produce the best possible puppies, we like to limit the number of dogs we have living in our home. We offer a unique guardian program where qualified families will receive a FREE puppy/dog while we retain the breeding rights.
Guardian families are expected to properly care for their new puppy/dog physically and financially. We will cover all costs associated to breeding and care for/own all litters produced by guardian family dogs. Basically, you will get an adorable dog to add to your family at no cost, and we get to use him/her in our breeding program. Pretty simple! Guardian dogs will remain your forever family pet but will come to us every so often to sire/whelp their litters.
QUALIFICATIONS
Guardian families must be able to:
-Provide safe and secure means for exercise, potty, and play (having either a fenced yard OR prioritize walks around the block) while avoiding off-leash dog parks (for risk of spreading disease to puppies and mingling with other unaltered male/female dogs).
-Provide a puppy/dog with proper health care and nutrition (including feeding a high quality food approved by us).
-Properly train and socialize a puppy/dog.
-Keep up with grooming (both professionally and at home) including regular brushing/bathing.
*Guardian families should live within 1.5 hours of Pahrump Nv.
-No plans on relocating while in contract with Bridges Goldendoodles.
Owning a female guardian dog:
Once the dog is of age, has passed all of her health testing, and is ready to breed (typically on her second heat cycle) we will have her over for a few days during the breeding process and later, for the duration of whelping her litter. After she has been bred she will return to her guardian family who will care for her during her pregnancy. She will then come back to us a week before she is due to whelp her litter. Once old enough, female dogs will spend at least 6-8 weeks per year in our care to whelp, raise, and wean their puppies (guardian families are always welcome to visit). Guardians must be able to detect a heat cycle (while notifying us the first day signs of each cycle is seen) and keep females away from intact male dogs during this time. Females will retire after having 3-4 litters (so long as she remains healthy during pregnancy/whelping/weaning and proves to be excellent mama dog). Once retired the female will be spayed (courtesy of us) and continue to live the remainder of her life with her guardian family
Owning a male guardian dog:
Once the dog is of age, has passed all of his health testing, and is ready to breed (when optimal maturity has been reached) our male dogs will spend a few days with us at a time when needed during breeding. Males will typically sire a few litters per season (guardians are always welcome to visit the puppies). Occasionally males will be needed for stud services to outside breeding programs. Guardians must be able to keep male dogs away from intact female dogs in heat. Males will retire at around the age of 5-6, Once retired the male will be neutered (courtesy of us) and continue to live the remainder of his life with his guardian family.
